Womanby alonzo4bComment by Node: Very nice, using the full available size probably would have helped. The shadow on her right eye is a bit dark and her nipple being slightly cropped hasn't helped. Great tonal range, nice looking model and pose. |

Womanby alonzo4bComment by Jedusi: Attractive girl and nice lighting - but she just looks too crammed in to me, and the sliver of black on the left is a distraction.
I'm sure you could get many other very nice shots with her though - and probably already have. :- ) |

Womanby alonzo4bComment by colorcarnival: Ouch sorry but the nipple ring caught my attention. Too me, the nakedness doesn't create any extra emotion other than "ouch". I think that you could have achieved a sexy effect really by just focusing on her face. Her eyes and expression carry the mood. |

Womanby alonzo4bComment by Retroesque: This image would have benefitted from greatercontrast. I would also look at the tutorial called 'Pimp those eyes', that with some dodging and sharpening would have improved the image. |

Womanby alonzo4bComment by Tammer: I like the lower left hand corner - good lighting. The rest seems a little flat, but that's just me. Good composition. |

Womanby alonzo4bComment by h2: good naturally lighted portrait, though the crop is a bit tight (and the image too small:). Might have been helpful to use a reflector from her left to brighten her hair a bit. |

Two Womenby alonzo4bComment by CalliopeKel: None of the lighting issues bother me here with this photo. I am accepting it for what it is. The lady in the shadow seems perfectly lit and with her face being dark it gives it a sense of mystery. One questions her obscurity which makes the photo a little more interesting in my opinion. While technically flawed, the portrait has an element of interest to it. So yes, you succeeded.

Two Womenby alonzo4bComment by smardaz: Originally posted by alonzo4b: Thanks for the comments. Clearly from the comments it appears that what I thought was interesting did not go over too well. The woman in the front is too hot and that was unintended. I did, however, intentionally put the woman in the back in the heavy shadow. I just thought that would be an interesting contrast between the two. I have a tendency to enter pics that are somewhat unconventional and perhaps my instincts are a bit off. |
i would encourage you to follow your instincts....the critiques offered on this sight defiantly have value but in my estimation there are no hard and fast rules in photography, you should ALWAYS shoot what you enjoy... |
