Neat shot, good play on words. The lighting and contrast are well managed, and it certainly has "how did you do it?" written all over it.

The Splash of a Kiwi

Wow. The lighting here is great (from the top, judging from the reflection toward the right), and the detail on the kiwi fuzz is spot-on. The shape of the water seems so unnatural, but the dynamic motion of the shot, coupled with the internal reflections of the kiwi's innards throughout the water adds a "splash" of color that balances everything perfectly. The blue area toward the lower left seems a bit incongruous.

Smooth shot, exposed enough to get texture in the sand, with the footsteps. The overexposure on the left, though, really overpowers the image. Although this might be intentional (when considering the title), it seems to be a bit much.

Soft focus gives this a sort of dreamlike feel, and the use of shadow on the right side of the shot helps to complete a frame with the treeline in the background and the branches to the left. The composition seems crowded, and slightly imbalanced with the bench where it is. Also, without a bottom edge to your natural framing, it seems somewhat topheavy. Croppign it tighter on the bottom might alleviate that, but you run the risk of getting to close to the girl's shadow.

The pattern in the foreground, whatever it is, is really neat! The rock formations have a great symmetry, both laterally (with the two smaller formations balanced on either side) and vertically (against the reflections in the water). Moving the horizon up or down a bit (perhaps to a thirds line?) would give us even more of that foreground pattern, or more of those puffy clouds.

Beautiful colors, great lighting (good time of day and ambient conditions), and long exposure really give this shot an extraordinary feel. A vertical composition might have further emphasized the height of the falls, but sacrificed some of the foliage. Cropping it just a bit tighter or moving in closer might have balanced the shot even better than it is already.

Very cute shot. The veritcal wall detail directly behind her head is a bit distracting, but the alignment and skin tone match really makes you double-take this shot. Lighting is solid, neutral color choice on the hair, furniture, and room (whether done naturally or with desaturation) keeps the focus in the right place.

Tough shot to catch... the bright light of the sunrise can really overpower the image and make the foreground underexposed, but you manage a good compromise here. The color reflected in the fog is a neat effect. Gradient density filters can really help with shots like this, allowing you to get a bit more exposure and detail in the foreground without washing out the sky colors.

Great color and contrast here... seems slightly over-sharpened, though. The white feathers seem a bit overexposed, too.

Awesome exposure and subject... the big cat's pose and intent expression are simply majestic. The bamboo background works well as it goes from focused and sharp to faded, dark, and shadowy, with good shadow detail. The colors throw me off a bit, though... it seems like you might have worked with the saturation a lot. As a result, the pole in the foreground looks splotchy, and there are cyan color artifacts on the tiger's light fur.
