Smooth as Grassby AaronComment by UberFish: The lifestyle magazines are full of shots like this, and I'm none to keen on them. But it seems to be as good as any of its type, so have an 8. |

Sweet Spotby AaronComment by Swashbuckler: Wow, this is the best of the wasp shots. Too bad the flower's pestal is in the way. Most of this week's shots had serious macro/depth of field problems. In your case, the wasp is more on a single plane, leaving it all in focus. I think I would have liked having more of the flower in focus, but in this case, the lack of depth isn't so bad for the subject. 8 Swash |

Sweet Spotby AaronComment by FranziskaLang: did you crop this out of a much larger photo? i suspect you did because of the pixelation. that's unfortunate, because otherwise this would be a totally awesome shot. the other flower in the bottom left is distracting, too, outside of this competition you'd be able to clone that out of course. -- gr8photos (3) |

Sweet Spotby AaronComment by karmat: I simply love this picture. The detail is wonderful, and I like the simplicity of the the colors between the blue and green. This would make an awesome poster. karmat |

Sweet Spotby AaronComment by jmsetzler: interesting macro :) I know it was probably impossible to do, but a different angle would be nice on this one.. the green in the bottom left of the frame doesn't seem appealing... = 6 - jmsetzler |

Sweet Spotby AaronComment by daysez: Wow! The wasps we have here are more yellow, did yoy tweek the colors to get the purty blue? Nice work, one of my top picks this week. |

Sweet Spotby AaronComment by bdshort: There is some pixelization on the insects leg, but I'm guessing that is from a rather extreme crop? Otherwise, nice shot! The plant in the lower left is a bit distracting but otherwise I like it. |

Transparent Atmosphereby AaronComment by ClubJuggle: Nice shot, but a stretch to fit the theme. Technically, any photograph is taken through the transparent atmosphere. It's not totally off topic since it is refraction off the dust in the atmosphere that creates the strong colors of a sunset, but I don't think it fully meets the spirit of the challenge either. |

Transparent Atmosphereby AaronComment by Swashbuckler: Could be considered borderline transparency, but I admire your guts, plus this is an outrageously beautiful shot. Great reds/yellows/oranges! Photo 9 Transparency 7 total 8 swash |

Transparent Atmosphereby AaronComment by chariot: Beautiful capture of a sunset. Very bad picture for this challenge. I could have taken a picture of anything and said "transparent air". You are gonna have to try harder than this for me to give you a better grade. |
