While I'm outside looking in, he's inside looking out.

What a cutie. Nice capture. The narrow slotway plays well against his curly hair.

well captured. The tonal range is excellent, as is the crop. I think losing some of the right would upset the balance.

Interesting composition. I'm not sure your depth of field choice works as well as you intended. Black and white was a good artistic choice.

very nice, works well in BW. I would have preferred a deeper DOF so that more of the foreground was in focus. good job

I've looked at this photo for several minutes trying to decide on a score. The photo of the dog is excellent -- he's perfectly in focus from his shiny black nose to the hair on his head (I really like the shiny nose, too!), there's great light in his eyes, and the photo certainly meets the challenge. The angle of the dog house is really distracting to me, tho. I think I would have straightened the lines of the dog house to be parallel to the photo edges and left his head a little tilted rather than straightening his head and having the lines tilted. I would also crop it to just above the hair on his head so the opening would be showing in the top right. If possible, it would also improve the composition, IMO, if there had been a little more white space on the left, but that's a minor point. This photo shows that you have skill as a photographer, it just needs a little work on the composition :) Hope this will be helpful in your future entries.

I like how you have selectively blurred some but I don't know if I would have gotten it without the title - still - I like the image 7
