You are really great at candids, Rikki. Excellent capture, and story around it. I also see the face as a bit too red. Perhaps a little color adjustment, adding some cyan or blue, would help?

Nice angle - I like your composition a lot. Good focus, too. I think the exposure on the nose may be a bit too bright - perhaps just a little level adjustment would help. Othwerwise, really nice shot!

Fantastic capture, Rikki! Your timing was perfect. This shot caught my eye out of your portfolio. It is at once poignant and precious. From a technical standpoint, your DOF and focus are excellent. The shot is well composed. Honestly, I wouldn't change a thing. I love it! Adding it to my favs.

I'm not familiar with the draganizer effect, but I like it quite a bit. It seems like you started with a well-focused shot, and the dramatic lighting brings out the boy's features nicely. My only suggestion would be to perhaps have him looking directly at the camera, or towards the left. Somehow, his looking into the shadow is making my eyes uncomfortably jog back and forth from the shadow to his eye. But of course, that's probably just my own weird quirk. :) Nice work.

I think it would be better with a bit sharper focus, but otherwise a very pleasant shot.

Such beautiful, rich colors! Terrific DOF, and leading lines with the road. And the lampost adds just the right touch! Great shot - I have no idea what to suggest for improvements.

I like the dark, looming feel of this photo, but I think it may be a tad too dark. A lot of detail is lost. I think maybe if it was a little brighter or had stronger contrast, it would work a lot better.

This is very pretty - almost painterly - but it's a tad too dark. Some detail is lost. If it was just a little brighter, it would be much better, because you have very nice composition, focus, and DOF.
