You've captured a great moment here. I'm missing a lot of the texture and details, I don't know if it's the processing but it feels over-blurred.

The sharp shadows and contrast are nicely done. The folds of the fabric aid the composition quite a bit.

I think it's a nice image and rated it as such, but it could be sharper and fit the challenge better.

I'd like to see the bike in clearer focus and shown completely (the wheels are cut off).

The colors are nice, but the composition doesn't really give me much focus.

Greetings from the Critique Club:

You've chosen an interesting angle to give the image a lot more interest and dramatize the set up. The street lines aid your composition and lead the eye to the washed out portion of the road.

The lens cap as subject is not quite integrated into the picture. I agree with the comments that the cap needed a little more light on it to highlight its entire form (I understand the limitations of basic editing prohibit dodging/burning which might have enabled that).

I'm also wondering if a slightly different setup might have helped, having the lens cap more in foreground instead of mid-ground.

I like the different angles in the photo - the trunk of the tree, the yellow line and the guard rails. They really give the photo its structure. The exposure and the blown out sky detract from that but I understand the limitations of shooting in bad weather.

It's purple. It's an interesting choice and the amber tones of the sand intensify the color contrast.

The horizon is a bit off of level, which makes it look like the water is running onto the land a bit.

A good representation - but the shot is a little drab. A little closer attention to the composition to make it a compelling shot outside of the challenge title would help. The exposure on the cat face lacks detail and the colors/contract lack definition.

A nice picture of a cat, but I'm not getting the sense that he's away from his quarry or what the mice are up to. That said, it's a good photo, I like the off-center composition and the light in his eyes and the depth of field.
