The feather is a real WOW all the way. Perfect composition, exposure and focus. Your lighting brings out the intense colors exceptionally well. Having said that, the heavy border is way too overbearing for me. If it needs a border at all (which I doubt) - I'd suggest a thin black one. But the image itself is so strong, I see you in the top ten at least.

Nice focus, but I would have preferred the upper portion of the eye to be brighter. White paper held under the eye to bounce the light onto it would have been enough.

well done, the color and tones lend to a very sophisticated feel. i think i'd like it better if it were either all crystal clear, or if the blurry areas were evey blurier
