Opposite Sex : Caught in the Act!

You're welcome (I gave you one of the 26 6's). Actually I didn't find the shot to be really within the challenge, but I "allowed it", reading the title.

On a side note, I'm so sick of reading the Moral Majority comments all over this site whenever there is nudity, violence or anything that doesn't fit in to their american dreaming Mr Rogers Neighbourhood.

That the subject might be poor taste in their eyes doesn't make it a bad image and this is a site about photography, not moral consent. There are no limits to art, and it surely is in the beholders eye. Your image to me was well worth the 6. Or perhaps it wasn't, and I fell in the trap of playing their game - upgrading it just a bit for you having the guts to post it? Can't tell. I do know I almost gave you a 10 for the same reason, but felt it would be wrong. I Would never vote an image down for depicting something I didn't like anyway - I'd like to sleep well at night.

Thank you for posting a controversial subject.

Nice catch. The shadows and high contrast makes it lose some detail. Probably along with not having all that many pixels to work with from the start?

Would have been nice if it had looked more to the side to make the head stand out more. Guess it's hard to tell a bird to "please look that way" :-)

Nut should have been dead center I think. But I guess it's close enough..

Guessing this one is on-board flashed? Think it would have been better with some other light source, this makes it look very flat. But I give you credit for dead centering and a really annoying color :-)

Really cool (and good) shot, but I'm not sure I agree on the rotated canvas.

Had to invert it to have a look. Looks good either way, but the inverted colors makes a more centered impact so I'll agree with you on that choice.

Hehe, one of the few images not having anything at all in the center that I feel meet the challenge well anyway. Either the angle or the light is creating the illusion of the right arrow being longer, not sure it actually is, but I would have adjusted a bit for that in the cropping.

Great challenge interpretation and good use of the advanced editing possibilities. Perhaps a bit overexposed right side of the face? I think I would have gone at it to leave more focus on the eye.

Ah, untitled when it should have been "Litteraly Centered". Nice colors in this one!

I realize one could argue that this one in fact is centered, but I do get the feeling that it isn't. The blue bells catching the eye is way out of it and also not surrounding the center which would have helped out. On my TFT it looks a bit over-sharpened, something I manage to do a lot to my own images on my other (CRT) monitor. Skipping that last USM seems to be a good idea sometimes. It's nothing I'd take points off for, just a possibly useful hint.

And where was this shot in the silhouettes challenge? Good here, even better there. The colors are a little washed out towards the horizon. Perhaps a little contrast tweak and a saturation sponge to go with it?
