This is nice and crisp. Definately a good effort. I like the composition - the flapping bird in the background provides a nice set-off against, the stationary bird in the foreground.

Composition of sky and sea is good, but the main subject seems to be the gulls, although they are too far away and softly focused to be a key factor in the shot. The sun is also centred which does 'anaesthetise' the comp somewhat. Image is overexposed a little so metering on the sky would help to reduce glare and blown highlights. A polariser would really help here adding definition and richness of tone to the sky.

For me this is really quite bland. The focal point is uncertain and we're too far away from anything of interest. The three birds are scattered too wide to make their involvement in the shot particularly useful or impactful. While the view has some nice perspective, the light and colour make this quite dull. I'd certainly opt for mono with this.

Great focus, detail and a nice comp. I'd like to see what effect it would have had to focus on the furthermost gull, moving round slightly to the right.

very nice. This is a great bokeh style photo. The main subject which happens to be the front bird is focused well, I like the zoom and crop. nicely coordinated photo.

Well Lesya, this one is a pretty interesting one. Good DOF, and a nice crop. I think you could of cut more of the bottom space of concrete.
