People keep stealing my ideas! The only problem was that my wife only had one candle so I couldn't shoot this type of shot! I even thought of going to a church to shoot their candles but then the roof would have caved in! Good job.

A well composed shot. I think the rear candles should either be a bit more in focus or out of focus though as the slight blur on them doesn't do the photo justice.

Such a postcard like photograph! The horizon and tops of trees follow the rule of thirds nicely. The blue's and green's sit together really well and the children sitting on the seat add a nice focal point. Well done - I look forward to seeing more of your work.

The title is a little confusing (though that has no effect on your score1). Is she at the doorway expecting her mother, or is she an expectant mother?? Well, no matter - I love the look of this beautiful black and white. The composition is wonderful - the right side "fades to black" and the left side highlights are kind of "blown out" so that the details fade into nothingness, and all of this works together to give the shot good balance, as well as a sense of mystery - (where is she, what is she thinking, why is she dressed in a formal looking dress??) This shot is intriguing in many respects, and I find it very visually appealing. My only regret with it - that there isn't a little bit more light on her face. 9
