Sound of Silenceby hallizhComment by fannyb: I think the idea is a good one, however the subject lacks some punch to really be interesting. The colors are a little washed for my taste, maybe it would have been better in B&W. The shot does convey the challenge, kuddos on that. SCORE: 3
Good job nonetheless and good luck. |

Sound of Silenceby hallizhComment by littlegett: Enteresting view. I think maybe a little more light on the tree, and a little less amount of forground.. You might try this in b&w. |

Sound of Silenceby hallizhComment by f-32: It appears your flash has some specific limitations. Maybe you need to get a little closer next time.... |

Sound of Silenceby hallizhComment by gpierson: this could be a really interesting photo, but seems to lack something.Flash will always ruin a photo. This image might work better when the sun is setting and your light is more diffused. |

Sound of Silenceby hallizhComment by Neuferland: Not a bad idea but the overall shot leaves me really wanting. I can barely make out the tree in the top and yes my monitor is calibrated. The grassy area is dull and not very pleasing to the eye. A 3 |

Sound of Silenceby hallizhComment by andywightman: This photo feels like you've gone outside, pointed your camera at a tree and pressed the button. The flash has highlighted the grass (flash can only travel a limited distance) and leaves little of interest in the frame. If your camera is capable, try a long exposure (30 sec or so) and highlight the tree with a torch. You might get some interestign effects that manage to evoke silence a bit better. |
