Thank you for all of the votes / comments and for the 3rd place ribbon! I find the content on DP Challenge to be very inspirational and helpful - great website!

I got this shot after taking some pictures in a park by my house with my family. The sun had just set, giving the moon a yellow glow. I had to dial back my exposure quite a bit to keep from blowing out the bright moon. This resulted in the deep blue sky and silhouette trees / hills in the photo.

Lovely contrasting colors! The only thing I may would have done different is try to put the moon a little more to the right if at all possible. This one is a keeper.10

Bet you're getting a lot of DNMC's for this one, but people are too literal when the topic is intentionally vague and too liberal when the topic is narrowly defined. Ah DPC!

Fascinating capture... Might have minimized the bird droppings somehow, but the target is spot on.

LOL, nice take on the challenge. +1 for originality. :) The only gripe I have is the blurry railing at the bottom left. JMO :)
