Really nice idea, shot and composition. I wonder how the photo would look if the model was wearing something color-wise that set her apart from the wooden guardrails for greater contrast and separation. Perhaps B&W could have helped in that regard as well. Not a complaint really on a very good idea that captures the challenge theme and does so in a very artistic manner. Love the soft dreamy/painterly look to the landscape horizon. P.S. Oh, and thanks for NOT putting tape over her mouth. ;)

Not much to catch viewer's attention here. Really could use a focal point/subject. Treadmarks in sand/mud seem to be what's in focus here with your extremely shallow DOF. They seem to dirty up the landscape rather than serve a purpose (lead the eye to any point of interest in the picture or make/take an interesting angle(diagonal) or shape(curve, S-shape) in the sand/mud. Find a single set of treadmarks, get down lower, greater DOF, and reduce visual clutter as much as possible. Keep on clickin'! :)

The Ultimate Silence

Good idea. Wish the child was either looking toward camera or 3/4 pose looking off in thought. Lots of distracting elements in background. Shallow DOF would have helped to focus attention back to the subject of the shot, the boy and sign. Keep nearby tree on right out of frame, competes with vertical line of sign. A lower angle (child's height) might have worked well here, too. Liked your choice of B&W here, try and edit for greater contrast and impact. Keep it up! :)

The subject of the shot are the headstones, so the trees at the top are distracting from that goal, crop 'em. With only the headstones now left, my attention is drawn to the grave with the flowers, but it's too far away to actually be the subject. You could either shoot that in the foreground, leaving the non-decorated headstones as background, or just shoot all non-decorated headstones with no emphasis on any of theme. Right now there's nothing special about the closest headstone which might have been your focal point. B&W could also help with the overall mood you're trying to capture. Just my opinion, it's free, so it for what's it's worth. ;)

Nice shot and cool sepia tone. Yep, that car looks pretty much silent, alrighty! Would have liked to see some different composition/angles possibly. :)

Great shot for wildlife theme, but as for silence, just looking at the picture without your title would give me no clue as to anything having to do with silence. Judging only from the picture, I can only assume that the "silent prey" is the SNOW??? ;) There's really no evidence to say otherwise unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, it's a great action shot of an arctic fox, it's just not an image that you can say, "I get a feeling of quiet/silence from this photo," even if it were merely named "UNTITLED". Keep up the good work. :)

I'll have to assume this is a hearing aid, never having worn one or seen one of these newer models. Not much detail in green parts shadows. Could use better fill lighting/reflectors to help in that regard. Silver battery has turned too dark because of that as well and seems to have picked up a green cast from the green earpiece.

I like the framing/composition of your shot. Good capture of emotion. The theme is silence, but the very title of your photo makes me think there IS no silence for this poor girl. I think your shot would have worked well for another challenge, but SILENCE just doesn't seem to due it justice. Keep it up! :)

Do Not Disturb

Comment:
NO WAKE is quite a bit different than NO NOISE with regards to boating. However, your photo would have worked GREAT if you could have captured someone/yourself snoozing beneath/in front of the sign, making a visua connection/gag that the NO WAKE sign now doubles as a "DO NOT DISTURB" request for the happily snoring person.

I hope this phone was dead BEFORE it hit the water. If not, I have to admire the phone for "taking one for the team" by posing for this shot. Quite different! All it needed as a goldfish staring at it. :) Some distracting reflections and vertical lines weaken it some. Nice going! :)
