Geez... you handicapped this photo and still landed 5th place! Having seen your original, it's almost heartbreaking that you cropped so much of the beautiful background context away. Your composition was nearly perfect as-is. Terrific shot!

Congrats on a personal top 3! I must confess that I'm surprised this entry placed so high, not because it's a bad photo or subject (both are great), but because you didn't brighten the lamb to bring out more highlights and contrast. It wouldn't take much, but I think that extra "pop" and cleaning up around the eyes might have made this one a ribbon winner.

Congrats on the top 15, Denise! In four trips, that was the first time I was able to get a clear shot of a puffin with fish. Thanks for pointing him out. I would have entered the same bird, but figured you probably had a better angle.

Agreed. I hated that title, too, but it seemed more appropriate than "Random Mental Block Induced Bird Term 1 minute Before Deadline." I had the same issue in Historic Landmark, unfortunately.
