Still & Quiteby agwrightComment: Ah, the Pentlands again! Fine composition and tones. I particularly like the texture of the water and the sense that it may be raining. Presume title should be Still and Quiet :)) |

bad boy gets a time outby coolharComment: There's something odd about the boy - in particular the head seems to have been subjected to excess editing - as if it's been pasted in. This detracts significantly from the appeal. Phot apears a bit overexposed also. Otherwise a nice composition. |

The Welderby sp00fComment: Nice photo. Saw this in the discussion forums though. FYI, it is not considered good form to reveal your entry in the week of voting or to seek opinions in advance of entering.
That said, a good piece of work. You've captured the lighting very well and the composition is excellent. Effective use of square format |

Rusty links in the chainby mariaksteinssonComment: I don't like the lighting in this photo - appears to be a harsh flash. it has the effect of flattening the colours and rendering an otherwise interesting image less so. |

Rusty Fenceby AmboComment: The colours appear to be over-saturated. Maybe I'm wrong. I'll assume I am wrong! nice colours. |

Window Viewby WildflowerJoyComment: Excellent observation and a nice depth. So much interest to compell the viewer and well exposed. Good work. |

Rusty smileby broken tripodComment: Nice observation and clever title. Unusually I like the border (don't usually like them). Well exposed too. |

Old Lockby vtruanComment: This is an attractive study but it appears over-saturated and over-sharpened. Also, the burnt out highlights on the left are distracting. |

Abandoned Padlockby darcyComment: A tricky shot in which to get the exposure right. Unfortunately, exposing correctly for the sky leaves the padlock badly underexposed. You could have tried a light fill in flash to solve this. As it is, the padlock, which is a key element in the photo is too dark for my liking. Otherwise it's a nicely composed shot. |
