Road to nowhereby NodeComment: Very old-world feeling - I like the grain and the slight vignetting here. The strong sepia tones really seem to work for this particular photo, and the details are great. Very nice work! |

Bridge Over the Crooked River and Over Another Bridge as Wellby STEINRComment: This feels as if it's had the saturation kicked up a tad, and I like the effect. The vibrant colours really make this feel somehow electric and alive... lovely. It'd be nice to see a bit more of the reflections below, but as it is it looks pretty awesome. Nice work! |

On the bridge between two worldsby shiva5381Comment: Eww... nice clarity, though. The design on what I assume is a plate is a little distracting, though, and I'm not sure about whatever is in the background. If you could've used a solid white plate and a more solid background, this would be much more appealing and easy to see. Still, the detail is great. |

Get awayby BrennanOBComment: Beautiful.. colours are lovely and the composition is very interesting. The only thing that bothers me even a little is the treetop... but it looks like to avoid that you'd have lost a lot of the water, and I'd rather see the treetop :) Good job. |

The Hidden Bridgeby cardmaverickComment: Not sure about the soft focus/post processing (?) on this one, as it contains a person - otherwise, I think it would be much more effectively pulled off. I do like the composition, and the setting is lovely; my only suggestion would be to perhaps warm the colours a tad, as warmer colours do tend to look nicer with a soft focus. |

Bridge over troubled watersby andriComment: Beautiful... the silky smoothness of the water compliments the crisp lines of the bridge very nicely, and the border really suits this picture. I love the faint blue tones and the deep shadows - the exposure is perfect with no blown out highlights and just the right amount of contrast. |

Sarasota Bayby Mark of SRQComment: Very clear and pretty! The colours are fantastic, and I like how the boats and the bridge are little more than silhouettes. I would love to see a closer zoom of this, however, maybe cropping out the leftmost boats that are cut off on the edge? I cannot help but feel that there's no real main focus. That said, this is still a gorgeous picture that is great to look at as a whole even if no particular part of it draws the eye more than any other. The focus is great, the light level/exposure is perfect, and the scene is just beautiful. Great job! |

When They Were Made of Steelby jessieComment: These colours feel just a tad cool to me, probably because of the blue-green hue of the snow. I assume this is because that bit was in shadow? Regardless, the sunny highlight on the grass bits and the nice dashes of golden colour shining through the steel looks lovely, and the pastels of the sky work nicely in contrast to the greys of metal and concrete. I would probably like this a bit more if the right side were cropped so that the building (?) did not occupy a small bit of the edge, but it is still a strong image. Nice work. |

Underneathby mrwaffles989Comment: I like the strong lines of the top half of this photograph, but I find the rocks to be.. a bit distracting, especially where the light is shining through on the left side. I think this could have been improved by leaving less of the rock visible - i.e. by having the bottom of the bridge take up 3/4 of the photo instead of half, and by cropping to leave out the highlighted stones. Still, this has a lot of potential with the strong lines and nicely exposed shadows/highlights of the bridge. Good effort! |
