Comment by GoodEnd:
The hands here hidens a great part of perspective. The DOF is a bit short to me in this king of subject, but is acceptable.

A subtlety like that will be noticed four times out of 300 votes here, though it could be studied in a gallery. My point .... don't let anything that does or does not happen for you on this or any other site, change your perspective. You can say, "It won't." but if you become obsessed to get ribbons here, you will find your stylizations evolving to somewhere they didn't start out going. Your heart is your only teacher. You know how to take pictures.

nice. i would have cropped off wall on left, punched up saturation/contrast a bit, and then i'd give it a chance at top 10-20.

Tyler, In reference to your "photographer's comments" above, this image DID do well! You have a great eye for those things which many others cannot see and therefor need to be shown. This quality is the essence of a photographer .....certainly not necessarily for a camera owner. There are many of the latter on this site. Many who own wonderfully expensive and therefore miraculously accurate recording machines with startlingly clean reproductive capabilities. But you have something the majority here will never possess .... sensitivity to the profound. I hope to see your visionary interpretations in the future ... not on the front page here (wouldn't that be revolutionary!), but in museums and exhibition galleries around the world. Stay with this art. You are very special.

Nothing in this photo really draws me in. Yes, there's a reflection, but its just of the building across the way. The people in the street don't really make an impact. More interesting would be to reflect a woman looking in and thus appearing to mirror the mannekin, or a shot of people walking away, adding a sense of isolation.

A modern Mona Lisa. This is striking, mysterious and well interpreted.

Ohmygosh... beautiful image! It's not what I had in mind for "celebration" but I'll grant you a few extra points anyway! Awesome. Love it!
