Don't Panic Love

OK, guilty of cherry picking the first one i'm voting on; from all the thumbnails it was this I was first drawn to. Might be purely coincidental, but you also appear to be much of a coldplay fan (font, the Don't Panic bit from their blue room ep). Gives an air of autheticity about it. The image itself is very nice; technically flawed but in a good stylish way, soulful, quite moody, very fitting. says a lot too; journeys, music on the radio... makes one thoughtful. this photo could only ever be on a record sleeve.

i'm shocked i only gave this a seven - its face is totally hilarious - you've managed to capture the wee ones personality so well. technically i might have thought some of the whites were a bit blown, but other than that i think it's marvellous. adding to favourites and hoping you will one day forgive my appalling behaviour. seven? sheesh.

An amazing shot, and such a stand out from this challenge. everything about this is copletely bang-on, and very likeable. it just feels so very alive and is frankly wonderful in terms of colours, comoposition, presentation, focus... adding to favourites.

glorious proof that people can be imbeciles. 10 people gave this a 1?! Do they have no imagination at all?? This is a stunning piece of abstract art, and you should be saluted. The lines and colours are just gorgeous. Deserved so much more than a 5.11.

very nice bit of architecture, and nicely captured. especially like the rich areas of colour. in terms of personal taste, i think i might have preferred to maximise the bright colours and the symmetry you've captured by cropping at the same point at the base of the dome as is cropped at the top, thereby losing the lower third of the frame. otherwise, very lovely.

Comment:
very much in two minds about this. the tongue-in-cheek nature of the title does not really fit with the manner in which the shot is presented; the whole getting shot for sleeping with a sister thing is more of a stereotypical humourous thing, and as a result a photo more mockingly cartoony and decidedly less menacing in nature might be better fitting.

technically i like the use of the blur to bring the end of the gun into sharp focus, thereby maximising the fitting the challenge potential. it does suffer from an overwhelming sense of grey though - levels, brightness and contrast adjustments might help. and pure oddness of the background (mounted basketballs with horns?) is a detracting element...

difficult to know what to make of this - the drops of water feel a little gratuitous and seems to be for the voters... the reflections of the cd's themselves are nice, but it just feels too randomly put to chance how the finished shot would look.
