hikingby garlicComment by Antsy: I love the composition. I am curious how a black and white version would look like. |

Lights in the nightby garlicComment by LalliSig: A bit too noisy for my taste, seems you had a dark shot and then brightened it up in the post processing? If the image quality had been nicer this shot would have been so much better but not bad at all. 6 from me. |

Winter is hereby garlicComment by ursula: Beautiful shadows. At first I thought, where was he/she when this image was made. Then I thought, a bridge! Maybe, or a hill. Hmmm. I like it how the shapes seem to almost swirl around the large tree trunk/shadow diagonal. ~6 |

Winter is hereby garlicComment by JawnyRico: At first I didn't get the idea, but after looking at it, I think it is very well done, I hope that everyone else takes the time to look at this shot, it is a great picture... |

Winter is hereby garlicComment by glad2badad: Interesting shadow play in this photo. Fun to look at and I like the POV you've taken in your approach to getting this shot. Overall, I think the photo is too dark for the intent of this challenge. The snow is your background (i.e. - "White"), and the branches/tree is your subject (which should be "Light"). JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

Winter is hereby garlicComment by Prism: Sorry but you did not meet the challenge description. The background was to be white and the subject mostly a light colour. As for the photo itself, while the main tree branch and shadow is interesting, I find that overall the many branches of the smaller bushes make the picture very busy and do not give the eye a definite place to rest. Winter is hereby garlicComment by riversong: This is kinda dark for the challenge, but white subjects do cast dark shadows. I have to say though....you captured the essence of stark and cold.
Looks like where I live! |
