I think you were confused. This was supposed to be a portrait but, in landscape orientation.

Pity you completely missed the Challenge theme... Why did you enter for PORTRAIT in LANDSCAPE orientation? Your photo is LANDSCAPE in LANDSCAPE orientation. If you turned your camera 90 degrees and entered the "Landscape in Portrait orientation" you could have walked off with a ribbon.

::: Critique Club :::

Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.

First Impression - the most important one:
oh dear .. I really do dislike when the horizon is crooked ... it takes a minor rotation to correct and make an ok shot a good one.

Composition:
To my understanding I think that this would have worked well if you had the horizon on the horizontal thirds line and then the sky .. not too sure .. but may help a little.

Subject:
Doe it meet the challenge, if you had a cyclist in the shot enjoying the view yes. If you don't the picture does not stand on its own without the title.

Technical (Colour and light):
Colours are good and lighting is great. The border is perhaps a little heavy.

To grow its vote?:
Include a cyclist .. and think about how the picture really represents what you want it to.

Summary:
Godo work and a lovely picture.

If you've got any questions about this critique, please feel free to contact me via
the PM system.

Cheers

Kari

Nice shot. Next time make sure your horizon is straight. Also, the frame is a bit heavy for such a beautiful view.
