50 years ago... defiance bred a Leader by RoosterComment: I really love this photo. I think you did a good job of capturing an older feel to the photo - the black and white looks like the kind used in the 60s. Also, I like that you used an older style fountain. Great attention to details. This is my favorite for this challenge. |

sparrow640by robdocComment: This is a beautiful capture and a beautiful shot. The focus is extremely sharp and I love the details and your use of DOF. If this was a different challenge, I'd probably give you a very high mark; however, I have to mark it a bit lower because it doesn't fit the conflict category. I know it's easy to upload the wrong picture and I wonder if it's what happened in this case. Great shot though. You have a good eye. |

Solving a conflictby litboltiComment: I know this is supposed to be provocative, but I take issue with killing an animal for this challenge. |

The Track Gets In The Way!!by yamahondamomComment: I like this idea for this conflict. I think what would set this photo apart (and I know it's difficult with action shots like this -- is if you cropped the photo around where the guy is falling and made it bigger. The composition is lacking a subject and a balance and you have to really look to see what's going on. |

Conflictby jmsetzlerComment: I really love this photo. It has great rich tones and wonderful detail. I think it's a great idea to use a bird of prey in this challenge; however, I think it would have been set apart if you captured the bird with its mouth open or its wings spread. I realize it's difficult with wildlife though. Good shot! |

Half full, or half empty?by The WizardComment: This is a good idea for this challenge. I think the glass needs to be a bit more in focus. Also, you may want to try the thirds rule for composition (instead of centering the subject maybe put it to the side). You may want to try using a tripod if the lighting wasn't strong enough to take the photo without handshake. |

Smile!by erindaComment: I think you may want to try to use a different light source than your flash the shadow is very harsh behind the child's head. The composition is good on this one, but it almost doesn't look in focus. Also, I'm not sure if this photo fits the theme. |

Animal has no shynessby dinnComment: I absolutely love this photo, but I feel like the title and subject are a stretch for this challenge. The colours are very beautiful though. What a great capture of such a gorgeous bird! |
