The reason I didn't vote higher on this image is due to the following things I noticed:

1. slightly out of focus
2. Lighting is extremely off
3. You title really doesn't make me see into anyone's soul
4. editing on this photo seems low or very little. Not that it should be edited to death but something could have been done to give it a little more push.

What belongs to the window? I'm so confused.

But... I like the image. The forehead could be a bit darker ... even during post processing... to highlight the eyes even more... But, I like the "smile" in them.

Make sure you watch out for those blown highlights. There was so many in this photo that it's very distracting.

Interesting take on the challenge. Lots to like, but I find the close crop at the top and the right distracting, drawing my eye to those area.
