The selective desaturation does not look right to me, I'm afraid. Some of it may be the harsh edges on the color to BW edges. When I do selective editing, I usually mask with a soft edged brush and often go back over the edges with a soften brush, to give it a more natural appearance.

The processing is a bit too grungy for me for a flower shot. And I don't quite get the point of green color - might as well desaturate green to leave the flower alone? Also, the harsh light fails to show off the flower as a gentle thing of beauty. Love the petal textures that came out because of this processing though. Looks like I'm not getting your intent here :(
