Love the focus on all the players eye right on the ball. I think a crop of this to get rid of the cars etc in the background would really help this one. Again - a shallower DOF might be in order to blur out the background.

Love the intensity on their faces and the fact we can see the ball. I think cropping these shots down to focus on the action and leaving the 'standing around guys' out of the frame would help the energy level of the shots.

A question for you...what lens and settings are you using for these shots? It says the 17-40mm was used but I wonder if that is just your default lens on your profile. If you notice most sports pro shooters and their shots - the background is blurred out much more due to the use of a shallow DOF by using a longer lens.
