I like the red and black. What I see that bothers me is it looks like you cut the image out of another photo and pasted it onto the red background. Masking out hair can be tricky and takes practice.

I like the idea a lot. The angle, composition, and focus aren't resonating with me though. I wonder if it would work better if we saw the famous chip more from the point of view of the little chips so it looked more impressive? Also it seems like maybe the little chips should be in focus with the subject of their ambition out of focus in the background, as of yet unrealized.

I think the lighting of this photo could be improved. The light is very hard, and causing some tough shadows and highlights to work with (for instance, the hair shadow in front of the eye).

Back away and catch the rose in a broader setting. Maybe in sunlight shinning through a window and then it becomes the FP. No worries, I'm failing miserably in the challenge too. Good Luck!
