Great idea, but it lacks a certain je ne sais quoi. I like the apples and the figure, but the focus seems off and the color/light range is somewhat muted. Also, the flash reflecting off the first apple is distracting.

I understand putting the Boston Globe article in the shot for context, but it seems kind of shoved in and a bit distracting. The man seems to be reading the article rather than meditating on/repenting for his sins as the cross and posture indicate.

Without the title, I would have no idea how this relates to the 7 deadly sins. Still, even with the title, I'm hard pressed to think of envy. The photo seems too bright/overexposed and the posed look of the toys and harsh white background do little for it. Perhaps a more subdued background wih fewer toys; also maybe closer to them so that their antiquity was more apparent. shedonist

Looks like she's actually seducing the photographer! He's into her, she's into the photgrapher, almost seems like some kind of lusty menage a trois going on here... ;) I would have liked to have seen this in color.
