When I first saw this photo I skipped it, I couldn't decide what score to give it, or what not. Now I'm back, and I feel like I have to explain why I'm giving you a 5.

Whereas the quality of this picture is good, it's sharp and the colours are nice and I really like the composition, I'm not going to score this higher than 6.

I am not saying that you have taken this photo in a studio, or that you haven't, I'm saying that to me this just doesn't feel natural. The light doesn't seem to fall from a natural angle, the background isn't really a background that just appears in the nature, but I also know that there are so many ways to get around this problem.

For me, when I read "In garden and field", I don't read "Must be garden or field visible in the picture", but I do take it as "use the natural light and what the nature brings you and make the best of it". I don't see this in this picture, and therefore I will give this a 6.

I've been looking at this shot several times now and I'm still trying to figure out what to write. It's taken from an interesting angle, but there's not much else to it. I'm not saying that it's a bad picture, not at all, but there are a few things that could be better.

My fist thought about it was that the sky seems to be a bit blown out, not a single detail and some bits of the flower are missing.

I like the colour, and how you can see the veins in the leaves, makes it all a bit more interesting.

A 5 from me!

Oh, I used to play with these flowers all the time as a kid. Nice colours, but the picture doesn't really speak to me. Feels a bit average to me. 6

Lovely captured peony! Love the details and the colours. The second one in the background is a bit distracting, though, and it also seems like the picture got a bit pixly from compression. 6

I like the idea, and it's a really nice flower, but the focus seems to be a bit off and the colours a bit washed out and therefore some details are missing from the petals. 5
