THis shot might have worked if one, the person in the background wasn't there, very distracting, my eyes keep getting pulled to him.

Two if there more lighting and color, I had to look three times before I saw the eyes and the teeth on the cigarette box.

I'm not sure you have the right idea of what "Irony" is, but I won't take off too much for that - I notice many of the english speakers here don't either. The photo is rather dark.

normally I would complain about tonal range here, with the shot being too gray, but in this case, I think it helps the shot and adds mood. There is a dreamy quality to this shot that I like. I'm rating it lower than I think it merits, however, because the bright spot on the ice on the right really annoys me and breaks the mood. I think, had this shot been cropped to remove that flaw, this would have been one of the better images in the challenge.

Good capture of the ice - lighting and focus is very good. Ice is not easy to photograph well. Sad feeling photo - like a lost toy. B&W contributes very well to this mood.
