"Maybe I'll get some meat too...!"by neatizzyComment by Falc: ok - this is going to sound really negative, but I hope what I have to say will be taken in a constructive manner.
This image has the feel of a snap. the lighting is ... well frankly attrocious, there are unfortunate shadows behind the dog.
The fork is washed out in the highlights and feels out of focus.
The diagonal line of the table edge really just cuts the image in half for no good effect.
On the bright side theres a hell of a lot to improve on here, you really can learn a lot from analysing the negatives. |

"Maybe I'll get some meat too...!"by neatizzyComment by Dr.Confuser: I can see how if you knew and loved the dog, those eyes would definitely convey the emotion of hope for an illicit scrap. In terms of the photo though, I would score it more highly with a different composition, possibly from anothr angle or with more context in the photo. I would like it better with sharper focus and greater DOF. The dog's face would be more expressive, IMO, if it were lighter and if I could see the eyes more clearly defined. The hope is in the eyes. Accentuating that would give more emotional punch, I think. |
