Even though I gave this a (somewhat) low mark, I kinda agree with RianBotes. This isn't a BAD picture by any means, it just didn't appeal to ME, I was pretty sure many others would have liked it, though. I'm often torn on how to vote on pictures that are good but don't touch me, should I vote only for how I feel or should I take a more technical approach? Fickle voter base!

In a "Calvin and Hobbes" cartoon, Calvin asks his dad about b+w pictures. Dad tells him that the world used to be black and white. When confronted with the fact that the b+w pictures didn't change with the rest of the world, Dad replies "that's because they were color pictures of a black and white world." This was great, forces us to think about what color is and means.
