OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for the Mu (most underrated) award:

Positives: High in originality and it makes want to know more about the context of what I am seeing - some sort of print is being produced. I don't quite recognise it as a darkroom though.

Critical stuff: Not an easy image to engage with, though I'm sure it will appeal to some.

Overall: An interesting image (in a curiosity sense) but in the final analysis I don't think there is enough here to hang onto viewers for long.

Hmmm ... I am mystified by the title. Maybe I need to get out more. Like the red cast to the image, the tilt, ... the mystery.

VERY creative and I think the photograph works very well! I like the shallow depth of field and really like the low light shadows from the railing falling across your "steps". Also, please note the average from your commenters - that's an excellent indication that your work resonated with those folks, and in many instances, that's worth more than the total score.
