Surfing the cloudsby DKZComment by cujee: Originally posted by smardaz: Originally posted by amateurboi: such an excellent photo, but rules are rules. No exceptions. This being your 8th challenge, I presume you knew the rules, but still submitted an old photo. Sad. |
whats really said is just assuming someone cheated, many people have had this happen simply because they forgot to make sure their camera was set to the right date. |
Agreed. Tons of experienced photographers on this site make this mistake all the time, it's probably the most common reason to get DQ'd on DPC. It's sad that you just assumed he cheated. |

Falling sunby DKZComment by Abra: Wow, where are you? I find the exposure of the sun a little distracting but a very nice photo overall. |

Surfing the cloudsby DKZComment by DKZ: Many people are wondering how I get that shot...
This is very simple :
On lower left corner you can see a little window as part of the canopy. You can pull it back to get some fresh air... ;) or put your camera out of it and get nice shots obsviously without seeing anything!! So I took many shots to get the good frame, a nice composition with the clouds and the reflection.
It was a one seat-glider so right hand to pilot and the left one half out of the canopy. The thing is that a glider is relatively slower that an aircraft ( you can slower down to 80km/h ) and you don't have a strong stream of air that could come from a propeller. |
