Excellent use of the HDR techniques to create a natural looking image. A nitpick is that I find the composition doesn't lead my eye around. It just lands on the person in the center.

not just because the child is so beautiful .
but his expression .
i feel a lot of children growing up in these times are confused and sad .. so many disparate things going on ..
you have captured that feeling perfectly ..
on the technical side .. i'm loving the black and white and that gorgeous dof .. a perfect portrait .. :)
