The light is too powerful and washed away the details. There are harsh shadows. The flower can be a little higher in the photo. If you have an external flash, try shooting with it. Place it about 2 o clock position so the light come from a slight angle to the right to bring out the texture. Very low power touch of light from a second flash can light the shadows also. If there are no flashes, try using evening light from side and a reflector (white card board) from left to light the shadows.
And never mind the points. Just concentrate on shooting better. After you shoot the flower well, skip something else. Try some portrait. Good luck.

Depth of field is too much. More opened aperture can blur the background and distracting grass on the fore ground.
