Hey,
I am way behind and also a newbie so take with a grain of salt please!..:)
For winter very nice to see any greenery so that is nice.
I just read something about being careful that the silky smooth water is becoming quite common and I found myself wondering what this would look like with less time exp. or just slightly flowing. Don't know just thinking out loud and sharing ideas.
It is quite pretty and I just "cropped" it with paper, and I like it with this POV just as is.
the foreground water and trees, especially the crazy 90 deg. one on right, add a lot of interest to me.
thanks for letting us "cut" on your photo!
Nice work

Glamourous, and it's not even a lady!

Indeed very pretty, glad you could find one with all the feathers in good shape; mine always are damaged.
I am being very critical here and I admit it but I would like to see the brightness and contrast kicked up here. I am new so not sure how all tht fits with contest, just my thoughts! Still very nice!
Thanks for showing him to us!

hmmm, a really pretty ring, and a beautiful backdrop in this rose (very creative!!), but your title doesn't match, at least my view, of the photo!
I would have liked to see some amazing sparkle from the ring.
Maybe it's just me! Shoot this again with a star filter or some intense light, or F22(?) and I think it becomes an amazing shot!
But it is still pretty and I love your creativity, just not the photo with the title.

Besides her being beautiful and "glamourous", I like the lighting, the offset, rule of thirds use, and I even like the blurred background! I don't know why I like the background but it just gives you something there, sort of pointing out her beauty vs. it's Not! Just my thoughts!
thanks for showing us, and I am not a glamour kind of shooter so take it with a grain of salt!

Well this definitely is grunge! I am glad you shared it with us, but I am not sure how I feel about the photo...? don't get mad at me, I just don't know if I want to look at that subject matter; but in the end you did what what asked of the challenge!
I am looking at the elements of it, but hard to discuss, sorry.
Thanks for showing it to us!

You hit it I think here. No, I don't want to drink that water!
the contrast of the glistening water (very nice!) with the grungy container makes for a "no thank you" on the water, but a yes on the photo!..:)

Hi,
Thanks for this very interesting bird to all of us on the other side of the pond, as we say. You probably had to shoot quickly, but if not, I agree about the tighter crop and sharper focus. He is so interesting that the grass gives interest but should still be "blurred" out a little.
But hey thanks again for letting us see this amazing bird!
