Bridal Showerby SiouxComment by bvy: I almost dismissed this is an accident. But it does have an odd sort of appeal to it. |

Bridal Showerby SiouxComment by mgsmith53: Don't like the extreme tilt. Kept wanting to tip my view to see what's going on, here. Maybe less rotation? |

Bridal Showerby SiouxComment by JustCaree: since I scored this low I wanted to give you the reason why. The first thing is that the image is over blurry and is hard on the eyes. The angle also made it a bit chaotic for me. These are my opinions and I am not a professional by any means. |

Bridal Showerby SiouxComment by Yo_Spiff: Looks more like the results of camera shake than OOF to me. Whites have a bit of a color cast to them. |

A Quiet Hideaway in the Big Appleby SiouxComment by Paul: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: An interesting POV and one that works really well - it combines scale very nicely; the small body of water placed onto the big city. It must have been really tempting to invert this vertically and I respect your choice to keep it this way up.
Critical stuff: Personally, I think it has more impact the other way up, the branches then becoming a visually metaphor for being rooted in the city and (for me) they become less dominant in the image.
Overall: Effective work - nicely found. |
