Stunning. Love the colors and how you filled the frame. I would clone out that hint of pink that's poking into the frame on the top right (or even just desaturate) so nothing distracts away from your flamingo.

Wonderful tones! I suspect that this was a rather monochromatic image to start with? I think those work best for duotone. You have a superb tonal range here, and the black background sets the flower off well. I wish there wasn't that shadow on the flower (more diffused lighting?) and the position in the frame doesn't feel 100% comfortable but to be honest I couldn't suggest anything better. Lovely work overall.

Of sea and sky

Blue tones work well here. I like the clouds in the sky that add much interest to the image, however, the sky seems a little pixelated or blotchy. On checking your file size, it is quite small (30k) when you could use up to 150k. Resizing with a higher quality setting would probably easily fix this.

Beautiful. Loe the DOF, the wonderful focus on her eye (great detail) and the look. The reflection just sets it off really well. The zigzag on the material or whatever it is in the background is a bit distracting (especially in the reflection), but this is still a fantastic shot that lends itself well for duotone.

Very cool castle. Like the architecture and the colors you chose to tone it. The blown-out clouds in the background are a bit distracting, but, other than go to take the photo at some other time, there's not much you can do about that in a basic editing challenge. :)

Gee, that looks scary. Kids ;) Really like the shot, great panning, nice tonal range. Wonder though what this would look like in color. Better or worse? Hard to tell without the comparison.

Nice piece of wood, amazing what nature can sculpture :) Very nice lighting and even background, just at the top, a little bit of blow out.

Beautiful composition, detail, tonality. Wonderful unobtrusive, yet not totally plain background. Title fits, too. I think my only thing is that the focus is just a little bit off on the eyes, which are usually so important for a portrait. I wonder if advanced editing outside of the challenge could help you apply some additional focus to the eyes and change this from a good to a great photo. I would also crop just a bit more off the top. Small stuff though, I like this shot!

Oh Dear (Deer?)!

Nice! The deer is really nicely isolated against the background. I especially like how his/her one ear with the signs of fight is set off so well against the black area in the background. Nice tonal range, too. The color is a little too reddish on my monitor for my liking, something more sepia-like would've looked even better I think.

I like how the pier is centered in the middle of the image, really works here. Looks like I can walk to the end and reach the horizon :) Storm clouds also work well for this kind of image, a blue sky would not have been half as interesting for a sepia-ish tone. Overall, the image is just a bit dark on my monitor. Good work though.
