Out of dateby hajekaComment: I have no problem with the background, and I loved it. 8 from me. :) |

A little Bridge Actionby LydiaComment: This is really really nice -- but it seems so oversharpened, it's making it uncomfortable to view on the screen. :( |

Moe in Sepiaby ladpupmoeComment: Nice tones, though it seems a little heavily done. I wish there was a little more space for Moe to breathe. --6-- |

The Ranchby Yo_SpiffComment: It looks like a fascinating place, but the shadows are so deep and it's dark so I can't really explore it as much as I'd like. -6- |

Northern Gemby KatheComment: The subject is so incredibly beautiful, but the rest of the photo really doesn't seem to add to it at all. Perhaps if you would have brought more warmth into the background golds? Cropping differently -- adding a little more space underneath to show more of the brilliant gold reflections and show less of the less interesting top 1/3 of the photo. -6- |

harbourby TiberiusComment: Nice sky and it's interesting how close the buildings are to the water. But because of the bright backlighting, there's not much separation in the foreground elements. It gets a little muddy with the multiple boats and buildings. I think it would have been better to wait until the boats were gone (or clone out?) or to do some bracketing to be able to bring out the foreground elements a little more so they don't blend into each other? -6- |

Sundown in Decemberby MonaComment: It is very nice, but not very memorable. It looks like there's a bench out on the spit of land? Perhaps working that into the composition might give it more of a story? -6- |

Wiredby ELLIPSComment: I like the idea and the find, but it doesn't work for me. The shadow takes up so much and is a little interesting, but doesn't hold my interest for long. And lining the wall up on the edge but having it slightly tilted feels off. Perhaps a different crop or tilting it even more? |

Starkby wolfComment: The textures and the eye are wonderful, but the crop is just too distracting, imo. Even if you cropped part of the nose off, I think it would look better than having it so tight. |

Lost In Your Eyesby IAmEliKatzComment: -9- from me. Can’t think of anything to improve it. You captured a story that’s intriguing and did it beautifully. -9- |
