Beautiful shot! I'd give it a perfect 10 had the water been slightly lighter, so the colours on its wings would stand out more. That said, it doesn't take away anything from the capture.

Why this didn't get a ribbon in the challenge, I will never know. For me, this easily deserved the second spot considering all the entries...

Having said that, I'm glad you didn't have any trolls marking it down.

This is awesome stuff. And I especially appreciate your comments about strategic low voting. While my work is nowhere near this in quality, I too have sat back and often wondered when fairly decent images have had unreasonably low votes.

That said, I'd be hard pressed to see why anyone would vote less than a perfect 10 on this. The only reasonable comment I see is from someone marking it down due to an extra glass (the one at the bottom).

Great job - both from technical and photographic aspect!

Umm this seems tonemapped - not sure if this was legal in Basic Editing (I assume it is). Pretty good
