Incredible shot. Fantastic colors and design. A stunning title that fits the challenge like a glove.

straight on photos of text, drawings, or paintings come off as either boring or unoriginal (in the case of photographing other art). Add more props, interesting angles, framing, or something to that effect. A photo of a frustrated person losing at an actual Pac-Man arcade game would be cool, for instance.

This image does not evoke a feeling of "Silence" for me. It looks like she is listening to music on her iPod. 4

feels like a snapshot - the border to sides doesnt add anything to this photo at all. poor effort.

The overexposed nature of the left hand side of the photo, in contrast to the right hand side, causes problems. I don't know if the tricky lighting lead you to choose black and white or not, but it does work with the girl for the most part. I feel the crop is too close to her head, making the photo feel cramped. I also am not sure about the choice of the border. A square crop can be very effective, and the large white spaces i don't think add anything to the photo, and on the left, ephasise the large overexposed area

Well, at least you got a brown ribbon out of your first challenge, (and you learned about white balance!) No place to go but up now! Welcome to the madhouse that is DPC!
