A lesson learned.
I borrowed a monitor to use for my laptop from a frind of mine. I thought that all the colors were correct in that monitor. This photo is definately orange in that monitor. But when I look at it in other monitors it looks red. So before submitting your photos take a look at them in other monitors or be sure your monitor is good enough.

interesting and nice composition. perhaps using fill flash would have added some needed light to enhance the highlights on the rope and make the orange pop..

I like the shot a lot, especially the texture. It looks like I can reach out and touch it. I'm not so sure I'd call this "orange," though.

nice composition, but th colors are a little flat -- it looks like (and the rain in the shot might be a giveaway) that it was shot on an overcast day. Perhaps simply increasing saturation in Pshop might be worthwhile.
