just thinkingby PennyStreetComment by brayburn: I like this Penny.
Ok, the doctor in me forces my eyes to look at why she has more swelling in one ankle than another (usually not good) but, if I force myself out of the professional role, I really like the character of this shot.
Well captioned also ... |

I'm not much into poetry (that could change) but for some good street poetry check out Frank O'Hara's Lunch Poems -- poems written during his lunch hour in and around the streets of Manhattan.
The image is excellent. Quite a character study! The void to the right really forces the eye back to your subject. Nice framing too. The big square crop really works. |

playing with shadowby PennyStreetComment by Melethia: Way cool light! Three people here - the real one, the one shadowed on the real one, and the mysterious other person shadowed on the wall. |

just thinkingby PennyStreetComment by tph1: This is a photo that begs the question "Who is she?" On closer look I see she has a pen in hand and is writing something. Could she be an artist like yourself? Maybe writing some 'street' poetry as you capture street photos? |

Performer by Dayby PennyStreetComment by Covert_Oddity: I'm torn on what's going on here I can't decide whether she(?) is at the end of a day where things didn't go well, or just about to start off on a long day she isn't looking forward to.
The location looks isolated, yet here you have a performer who you would expect to find in a busy shopping area or some other bustling part of town, makes we wonder about the setting in general.
Great capture, leaves me with many questions! |
