I like the shallow focus, but I think that maybe either could be just a bit deeper. The colours are beautiful, makes this very appetizing.

Thanks for all the great comments so far! I too wish I could have more in focus. I took the best of 5 shots and then had to eat it to get to work on time:) If I had more time I may have had something a little better. Maybe the next one...

Very good. Wasabe! yum! Read the comments & my suggestion would be to add one thing, a garnish w/some texture/detail, or a glass of beer, something to take the sharp focus so I could stop looking for it. Right now the focus is on the bread crust. Presentation is everything, as they say. I'd rather focus on the wonderful taste of the first bite!
