Splash of Curacaoby kasabaComment by Lydia: I love what you were going for here! You've made a really good capture of motion.
But... what I think is lacking is... the detail in the liquid in the glass.
On my monitor it appears as ... blackness.
It leaves me wanting... more.
*sigh*
(commenting only)
Edit to add: I've found "more"!
Look at: "Crystal Blue Persuasion" They left the "blue" in the glass.
I don't know how... I can't do what you've done... I don't do motion well, but... see the photog on that image for tips if you want to grow in what you obviously are interested in.
I love your composition... just get the technique.
And...
Then teach me.

Reflections of Deathby kasabaComment by unbreakable: this is very nice but would have been spectacular if you had cropped it evenly such that the central "face" was actually at the mid-line of the photo. otherwise it's very nice |

Reflections of Deathby kasabaComment by chalice: Intriguing image. I like the color and the details where they are shown. I am troubled by the slightly blown out and out-of-focus piece in the left foreground (and to a lesser extent, the somewhat darker mirror image in the right front corner). Because the material in the left front corner is so light, my eye is drawn to it, only to be met with no detail. If that corner had been as sharp as the upper-center light leaves this would have been my favorite of the challenge. I guess the depth of field was too narrow for me to appreciate the work of art hidden in this plant. I like the choice of a dark background to set off the grays and browns. |
