Kansas Anymoreby posthumousComment: Great photo, tack sharp, clean lines. But I am not sure it screams high contrast. Maybe if you cropped to the black buildings and closer crop to the front of the buildings, you would have that blackness and then that fabulous swoosh of cloud that you could have dodged or highlighted. |

a world of contrastby HUETHComment: I, personally and not seeing that high contrast in this. If the orchid had been a more vivid white it would have worked. Bit as it is, it just seems more low key and grey. |

The Young Onesby GinaRothfelsComment: They are so cute! It feels like it is blown out a tad, it is almost too much but it is a super high contrast. |

hot blooded tulipsby mariucaComment: It is lovely to see high contrast in colour, when it is done well. You nailed it Imo. Also, I just dropped my pen on the floor and best to pick it up and this also looks fabulous sideways, it is like a fantastic leading line that then blooms off in two directions!! |

Afternoon Teaby BarronessComment: this is a gorgeous picture; it infuses me with calm. High contrast to me means very light to very dark. There are really no middle grounds for mid toned colour and I feel that the tea pot in mid-range. Not sure if that makes sense. If the black cups had not been there, the pot would have been the dark contrasting image against the gorgeous flowers. But again, that is just my thoughts. But I will say again that this is a super photo. 7 |

Whataya Mean, There's No Tooth Fairy?by KodakComment: I keep coming back to this photo. Here is a thing that I do, I make a tunnel with my hand when looking at a photo, making it bigger or smaller to see if a crop would be a good idea. For this and huge close up crop would have had such an impact on the viewer in my opinion. It would have just shown the face, maybe an ear cropped out. Try it out and see if you like the results of the hand tunnel. (I have to come up with a better name than hand tunnel)) |
