I think I recognize the shape of a Rottie. A story is implied, but what I find myself thinking about is the way a camera will flatten the perspective, so that I don't know for sure if the 3 were really a group, or just lined up by the camera angle. Nice shot, lots of vitality.

The original is beautifiul (I remember it from the FS) & this is too. You might have extra 'illicit' fun by combining them. IMO less detai leaves more room for my imagination--I like both but this one is #1 for me. Your PP does not cominate the image, but adds to it. Well done!

Good for you! I've been challenged by the icky BG at an orchid show, too, never thought they might give some time to photogs. I'll remember to ask, this year. This is a tough one to shoot, w/all that negative space. Your BG works very well here.

Jewels amongst the leaf litter

Beautiful. And beautifully done. All the flowers are sharp & crisp against the dull brown leaf litter. Sounds simple, but it isn't. It could be that the reason why the votes were mostly in the middle is that people have seen just exactly this flash of color in the spring & have a picture of it in their memory, so it's familiar. Wish it had done better, but oh well. I was your other 10, I love it.

Interesting score for this. I was one of your 10s. I would never have guessed this was yours. Or that it was a gerbera. Love the abstract nature of this & the minimal detail & the lush color. I wanted to give you a Gilded Lily before the challenge ended, I ran out of time. So, here it is now, a Gilded Lily & my humble admiration for a lovely floral.
