Fallenby 4trtoneComment: I would like to refer you to the painting by Mondrian called "Red Cloud". Good catch. |

Vintage Trailer, Julian, CAby bspurgeonComment: Vintage trailer shot with appropriately "vintage" photographic technique. The result somehow meshes well in my mind. What did you use to scan the negative, or did you print it first and scan the positive? Message edited by author 2010-09-11 16:24:40. |

Julian #2by bspurgeonComment: Nice detail for a pinhole, but then I've never tried a professionally manufactured camera. Could be a lot of fun if I ever have a darkroom again. I love the way the light seems to have a life of its own especially in the foliage and reflections. |

Flow and Crowby jomariComment: ..or one plus one equals.. Is it really a crow? I could be wrong but I thought Ravens have the dark beaks. Since I frequently get it backwards, it probably is. |

Crowby jomariComment: The photo is interesting enough to override any technical in-camera generated artifacts. Really well composed and that eye of the bird stands out. Message edited by author 2010-09-08 21:04:21. |

Flowby jomariComment: No editing needed - the infinitely variable patterns of the waterfall provide endless, almost hypnotic fascination. |

BW #9by turnofthesueComment: The leaf stands out nicely among the textures of the wood chips. |

hannahby retakeComment: I don't think there is any focus problem here but a bit of motion blur given the shutter speed and 2x or 3x telephoto effect. The delicacy of the hair is retained which is the most telling evidence to me. This is a beautifully natural capture and to my eye quite powerful in its spontaneousness even with the attention of the subject to the photographer. |

BW #3by turnofthesueComment: The textures of the shirt really pull us in and contrast brilliantly with the lateral pattern of the fences. Surprizingly enticing image, I think, because of the tantalizing visual tug-of-war between the central placement of the child and the strong textures of the surrounding environment that tickles my eyes and beyond.
