Huge Fireworkby pitsamanComment: Excellent capture... I love fireworks photos over a city line like this. Now if only that cloud (or smoke) didn't go right through the middle - but that's being picky. |

half a secondby visaksenComment: What exactly am I looking at? It appears to be grass... the purple could be flowers? Although you met the challenge, I don't find the image appealing. |

Summer Heatby glad2badadComment: The best element of this photo: the center of the flower. The blurry bee in the middle of the image, the blown out highlights on the right side and the loss of detail on the petals hurt the image in my opinion. I don't know that this was a good subject for long exposure. |

"Water Falling"by tfarrell23Comment: You have met the challenge, and done a nice job with the lighting/long exposure. My suggestion for this photo would be to include more of the surroundings. One of the great things about long exposure water shots is that it really enhances the beauty of what is around it and I don't often find that it should be the only element of the photo. |

Piercing the Fogby BeagleboyComment: I'm not sure what time of day this was taken, but I wonder if just after sunrise or just before sunset would have been better? There seems to be a lot of detail lost since it is so dark. Also, the green of the lighthouse really overpowers the photo for me. |

Boulder Falls at Sunriseby donnievComment: Beautiful! This is a great use of the long exposure technique. My only wish is that I could see more of the rocks and such - but really that's just being picky. Very nice work. I like the use of b/w here too... it has a very Ansel Adams feel to it. |

Joggerby torfisComment: I don't find this an appealing use of the long exposure technique. Typically in a shot like this, I would want to see one part of it in focus and stopped. Otherwise, it just appears to be a blurry photo that was an accident. |

Top Floorby maxjComment: I'm not quite sure what effect you were going for when inverting this shot so the street is upside down and at the top of the frame. You did meet the challenge though ... |

Searching the wayby asijComment: Wow, now that is an interesting element to the traditional long exposure waterfall. That is probably the strongest point to this shot since everything else is dark it's hard to see the other things that make up interest in a waterfall such as the rocks and foliage. I'm very curious to see the details about this one when the challenge is up. :-) Nice work on the water! |

Sistersby LadeeMComment: Positioning is better on this one... you have them both in the frame nicely and the edge of the pool is not in the composition. Again, shallower dof to help with the background a bit, but not a crucial in this shot I don't think. You have one girl looking to the left (her right) and the other right at the camera. This is probably the best of the 4 in my opinion. |
