I like the subject and composition. The blue strikes me as a little 'dirty' in appearance - this might be a good candidate for a bit of overexposure.

I like the use of interesting/provocative novels, but I think they could be shot in a better fashion (imho). Stronger focus (or selective focus, shooting the books at an angle to add depth), a bit more contrast and maybe some dodging and burning to emphasize the part of the scene that you feel is most important might be some improvements.

I like the soft tones here - it makes a nice contrast to the 'sharpness' implied by the barbed wire. Compositionally a little weak but not bad - I like the centering of the butterfly but am not wild about the position of the wire.

Maybe a little too obvious/literal...The red filtering shows some creativity, and the background textures are nice, but the book is a little out of focus, the composition is awkward (vertical book framed horizontally) and the subject itself could be a little more interesting (imho).

The eyes look a little underexposed, a touch of neat image should take care of the noise in the bottom part of the frame. Great focus though.

While I like the colors, they do draw attention away from the girls eyes - it might be more balanced if they were in color as well.
