Interesting idea, and well execute. It would have been cool to have the whole M in focus though.

Ewww... I hate Necco wafers...But great use of the eyes to draw attention back to the candy. I know this sounds trivial, but the color of the shirt being so close to the skin tone throws me off. Also the crop irks me a little bit. I'm sorry I can't elaborate more...

Nice soft image, but the angle and crop is a little unappealing. I feel like the picture doesn't focus enough on the candy.

Way cool. Love this shot. It's very artistic, and not as commercial as other DPC shots (not that I don't like those as well). Wish I could have voted on it.

Hello from the Critique Club!

This was a great idea! You had me fooled for a second!

What is great about this picture is the attention to details (most of them). The floor looks like a ceiling, the light fixture looks real, and that picture frame was the icing on the cake. I'm sure you already know about the socket, the pants, and that corner of your shirt.

I think the problem with this one is the wishy-washy look to it. The wall is that very plain cream color, and your arms are an odd shade of red (although that might just be the blood rushing to them). The shadow on the wall is also unflattering. It looks like you lit is with a single source in the room. To eliminate those shadows, you can try to balance out the lighting with another source.

Overall, wonderful idea! I think with some more attention, this picture could have improved in the technical aspects. Please keep up the creativity, it's always welcome!

Hello from the Critique Club!

This picture is adorable! Your composition is very cute. The idea to put the stuffed animals' heads together with your daughter's was a great idea.

The colors in the photo are very bland, however. I don't know what kind of post-processing you did on this, other than the crop, but I think you might benefit from playing around with some adjustment layers.

I also noticed that you used the flash. This is my opinion, but I would suggest avoiding using the flash unless you absolutely need to. The problem is that it creates unflattering shadows and washes out colors. In pictures that aren't beautifully lit, it is just unappealing. You have a terrific camera! Why not open up the aperture or use a longer shutter speed? In fact, one of the best features of digital SLRs is the adjustable ISO! Play with that and see what kind of results you can get!

You have an eye for composition and can think of creative ideas, now if you just take advantage of your DSLR, you can come out with great results!
